This platform (the "Smart Classroom AI Sous Chef") is developed and operated by T M Stafford LLC dba RU Institute ("RU Institute", "we", "us", or "our") for the benefit of St. Thomas University ("STU") and its ProStart teacher training program participants ("you", "user").
2. Information we collect
- Account information — name, email address, and authentication credentials.
- Profile and usage data — workshop progress, skills viewed, prompts submitted, and AI responses generated.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and log files.

3. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the platform.
- To authenticate users and secure accounts.
- To deliver AI-powered features and personalize the learning experience.
- To share aggregated, de-identified usage reporting with St. Thomas University.

4. AI processing
Prompts you submit may be sent to third-party AI model providers solely to generate responses. We do not sell your prompts or personal information. AI providers may retain request data subject to their own policies.
5. Sharing
We share information with: (a) St. Thomas University staff administering the program; (b) service providers (hosting, database, AI inference) under confidentiality obligations; (c) authorities when required by law.
6. Data retention
We retain account and usage data for the duration of your participation plus a reasonable period thereafter for reporting and audit purposes.
7. Your rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the address below. Some rights may be limited by law or by obligations to STU.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, role-based access controls, and row-level security on user data. No system is perfectly secure.
9. Children
The platform is intended for educators and adult learners. It is not directed to children under 13.
