1. Acceptance
By accessing the Smart Classroom AI Sous Chef (the "Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). The Platform is developed and operated by T M Stafford LLC dba RU Institute ("RU Institute") for St. Thomas University ("STU"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility & accounts
The Platform is intended for STU ProStart workshop participants, instructors, and administrators. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account.
3. Acceptable use
- No unlawful, harassing, or harmful content.
- No attempts to reverse engineer, probe, or disrupt the Platform.
- No use of the Platform to generate content that violates third-party rights.
- No automated scraping or bulk extraction without written permission.
4. AI-generated content
The Platform includes AI features that produce text in response to prompts. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for a given use. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI output before using it in instruction or other contexts.
5. Intellectual property
The Platform, including its design, code, copy, and curriculum materials, is owned by RU Institute and/or its licensors. You retain ownership of original content you submit, and grant RU Institute and STU a non-exclusive license to host, display, and process that content to operate the Platform and report on workshop outcomes.
6. Third-party services
The Platform integrates third-party providers (hosting, database, AI inference). Their terms apply to processing performed by them.
7. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RU Institute and STU will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Platform. Aggregate liability for direct damages will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RU Institute and STU from any claims arising out of your misuse of the Platform or violation of these Terms.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access at any time for breach of these Terms or for operational reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive will survive termination.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Venue lies in the state and federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
